The singer says he plans to spend the next two weeks mourning the late Iculi by amplifying some of his life’s highlights and key messages.
Iculi was murdered last Saturday May, 6th at his home Kyanja by a lone gunman, as he retired from work.
Bruno K, in an interview on Tuesday May 9th, said he was pausing all promotional work for his new songs for the next fortnight to focus on mourning his departed friend.
The singer has been promoting two of his newest songs ‘Officially’ which was released in February, and ‘Ayingidewo’ which came out in the week of Ichuli’s murder.
“So, this week and next week I am dedicating it to my friend. We have to keep pushing his legacy; we cannot just move on,” he said.
“I am therefore calling upon all of Iculi’s friends and fans not to lose hope but to continue pushing his legacy.”
In the two weeks, Bruno says he will be sharing some of Iculi’s content, especially “the important things that he taught us which are relevant and productive.”
“Let’s all share this so we don't quickly forget about him,” he added.
And for those who were wronged by the controversial blogger, Bruno asked them to let go.
“I see that there is still a lot of anger; I see what appears to be a tribal war that is brewing on TikTok, regarding Isma issues. But this is not helpful. We need to forgive and let go because we are all Ugandans.”
Bruno K says he was close friends with Jajja Ichuli, and relied a lot on him for defense against online attacks.
On the day of his murder, the singer says he was supposed to hang out and enjoy fish with the deceased and a mutual friend at 5pm.
But he missed out as he was held in another meeting, only to see the news hours later on social media, that Iculi had been gunned down.
