He said that while the numbers are not so big, it's a huge step because growth takes some time.

"I'm so happy because last time you laughed at me after the event flopped but this time it didn't," said Panda.

"Now let me see if you'll laugh again!”

Asked by news corps about the revelers not being as many, he said: "Are you the one who brought these revelers?... Last time it rained and you laughed... I've got around 1,000 people, so it's amazing... You've to thank God. One is better than zero.

"You won't wake up one day and people show up in big numbers... it takes time…”

The Panda TurnUp was held at Hotel Africana Parking on Saturday, May 6.

The event is meant to entertain teenagers and youths.

In August 2022, it was to be held at Hockey Grounds Lugogo in Kampala but it rained from 11A.M. to 4:30P.M.

Since his target audience is young and they've to return home early, the event was sabotaged but the rains. Some equipment was also damaged. The event was to end at 6P.M.

Meanwhile, Crysto Panda was asked about the newly formed Uganda National Musicians Federation (UNMF) and why he didn’t show up for the elections.

He said he wasn’t invited, an indication that he may still have to work harder for such exclusive access.

He congratulated his friend Sheebah Karungi who was elected the Federation’s first vice president.
