Pastor Patience Rwabwogo, daughter of Uganda's President Yoweri Museveni and the head pastor of Covenant of Nations Church, has announced the upcoming “Light Up Uganda” event for the Buganda subregion and greater Central Uganda.
Set to take place at the Kololo Independence Grounds from May 19–24, 2025, this week-long event has been dedicated to spreading spiritual teachings and fostering unity across the country.
It is a continuation of the ““Light Up Uganda” crusades which have been held over the past 2 years in different parts of the country.
“We started this movement of reaching out to different parts of the country in 2022, beginning with Luwero, then Masindi, Gulu, Mbarara, and Tororo.
“Now, this mission in Kampala marks the culmination of two years of outreach,” Rwabwogo said in an interview," she said.
The event promises to be a non-denominational gathering, welcoming individuals from various Christian backgrounds including Anglicans, Catholics, Orthodox, and Pentecostals.

Focus on Unity and Spiritual Growth
The event will be packed with teachings, prayers, and intercessions aimed at fostering spiritual growth.
Rwabwogo shared that the event would feature training sessions three times a day, alongside focused prayer sessions.
“We will start with the Men’s Conference on May 19, led by my husband, Odrek Rwabwogo,” she said.
“Following that, the rest of the week will include various training sessions and prayerful intercessions.”
Highlighting Men’s Roles in Society
The Men's Conference, a key feature of the event, will focus on issues that often affect men in society, such as work, leadership, and personal relationships.
Odrek Rwabwogo, who will lead the session, explained, “Men often tend to pull back when they face challenges they don’t understand. They also struggle to share their talents and gifts. In this session, we’ll address the challenges men face both at home and in the workplace, and we’ll discuss their role in leadership and the marketplace.”
International and Local Speakers
The event will feature a star-studded line-up of speakers, including Bishop LaDonna Osborn from the United States, who is expected to provide impactful teachings.
