Ibrahim Musana who calls himself “Pressure 24/7” on Tiktok was picked on Saturday February 17th by the CID operatives from a hotel over the weekend, and detained at Kira Road Police station. He was later transferred to the CID Headquarters in Kibuli.

Over the past weeks, Musana who hails from Mukono District gained notoriety on the social media platform for hurling vile insults at the monarch, whom he accused of stealing the crown.

The 27-year-old claimed to be the true king of Buganda and the offspring of the late King Mutesa ii.

He also aimed insults at President Museveni whom he accused of enabling Kabaka Mutebi’s rulership.

Prime Minister Mayiga in a brief social media post on Monday, said he was thankful for Musana’s arrest.

Quoting earlier comments by Israel Kazibwe, the Buganda Kingdom spokesperson, Mayiga said the kingdom would support all efforts to ensure that Musana faces justice.

Any person who denigrates the throne like this young man Ibrahim Musana who was insulting the King and the kingdom; we shall use the Attorney General’s office to have him brought before courts of law,” Mayiga said.

Police Spokesman Fred Enanga told a press briefing this morning that Musana was handed over to the CID Kibuli who are processing charges ranging from Misuse of Social Media, Hate Speech, Malicious information under the Computer Misuse Act and Inciting Violence.

"We are actually transcribing over 50 videos of anti-Kabaka sentiments that are vulgar, abusive hostile and defamatory, for evidential purposes," Enanga said.
