Bafana and Roger have not been on the best of terms for nearly a year, as they traded insults and accusations in the media following their split.
But last Friday, the two publicly apologized to one another and agreed to let bygones be bygones.
This was at a surprise birthday party that Roger threw for the ‘Sagala Ntalo’ singer.
Bafana could not hide his thrill as his former long-time friend emerged from his Range Rover with a cake.
“You will kill me one day,” exclaimed the singer as he got out of his seat.
The manager also brought along with him other gifts that included a brand-new solo guitar.
The fight
Around February this year after the two parted ways, Bafana launched an attack on Manager Roger, accusing him of trying to frustrate his career.
Bafana claimed in multiple news interviews that Roger had been paying DJs, radios, and TV hosts not to play his songs.
“I am the one who introduced him to this industry. I introduced him to everybody he knows,” Bafana said in one of the interviews.
“I have paid a big price for him. I took him to South Africa and he caused a fatal car accident, and right now I am banned from going back to that country.”
Roger at the time, accused Bafana of telling lies. He said the singer adduced no single piece of evidence to the claims that he bribed DJs not to play his music.
But during their last week’s meeting, Bafana said all this was in the past.
“This my manager; he’s the one with whom we established ragga; everything else you’ve been hearing is nonexistent,” he said.
“When people are together, there is always going to be that friction; even in families relationships can sour especially if people from outside come in.”
On his part, Roger said he too was happy to move on from the past.
He recognized Bafana as the person that introduced him to music.
“I certainly wouldn’t be here if it weren't for him. He introduced me to almost everybody in music that I know of and befriended.”
Bafana and Roger met nearly a decade ago.
Roger was a money lender and the artist had gone to seek a loan.
They became quick friends and even started living together.
Bafana says Roger introduced him to business and encouraged him to invest in real estate.
