Roger Lubega, Manager of Spice Diana, has been hailed for his commitment to Spice Diana’s safety and elevating her status in the music industry.
Lubega, known professionally as Manager Roger, is said to have invested heavily in providing the songstress with top-notch security over the past 5 years.
Appearing on NTV's Masuze Mutya programme on Friday, Umar Bulega, President of the Uganda Bouncers Federation, shed light on the reasons behind the decision to beef up Diana’s security.
Bulega says he was contacted by Manager Roger, who sought to ensure her safety in the wake of growing fame.

“Around the onset of COVID-19 in 2020, Manager Roger came to me and said, ‘I had seen you with Jose Chameleone providing him with security together with your team. I also want to give this girl (Spice Diana) a high-level security of about 5 bouncers who are as good as the ones Chameleone had.’”
At the time, the pandemic had forced a shutdown of the music industry.
Bugela says he wondered where Roger was going to get the money to maintain such a big security detail
Roger, however, assured him that the financial aspect of the security arrangements would not be a problem.

Spice Diana's Desire for High-Profile Protection
Spice Diana herself was involved in shaping her security detail. Bulega recalled that she was inspired by global music icons who were always surrounded by top-tier security.
“She told me there were some female artists around the world she admired because of how they were professionally guarded,” Bulega said.
“She mentioned artists like Beyoncé and some female Tanzanian artists who used to work and move around with Diamond Platnumz. She said she wanted to be like them.”
Bulega says the decision to increase her security not only provided Spice Diana with top-tier protection but also enhanced her profile within the industry.

Although she has since reduced the number of bouncers, she still ensures that only highly trained security personnel accompany her wherever she goes.
