Kyazze disclosed this during his appearance on Allergic 2 Average, where he also provided insights into the evolving industry and how the company has diversified to capitalise on various opportunities.

"We (Swangz Avenue) are a record company; it's one aspect of what we do. However, when you examine our revenues, the label side of the business accounts for approximately 15%," he stated.

"... So what do we primarily do?... Communication: we produce communication materials... We manage these conversations, and our artistes are also part of these discussions. We don't just see them as musicians; we see them as influencers, content creators, and businesses."

In addition to managing artistes and producing their music, Swangz Avenue has several business units that handle commercials, marketing, public relations, and advertisements, among other services.

The company was established in 2008 after Julius Kyazze left Fenon Records and purchased music recording equipment from the United States to start his own studio.

He opened the studio in Muswangali on Salaam Road. The name Swangz was derived from Muswangali.

Benon Mugumbya soon realised that although he was a skilled producer, he lacked business acumen. He then partnered with his friend Julius Kyazze.

Kyazze also had experience in the music industry, having founded a successful dance group called Eclipse.

Eclipse also received gigs from Steve Jean, who at that time managed Blu*3, an act under Fenon Records where Mugumbya was employed.
