Early this year, Bajjo caused a snafu on the internet when he circulated a list, in which events promoters had drafted a payment system seeking to standardize the hiring fees for all musicians.
According to Kusasira, she saw the list, but was not sure if it belonged to Bajjo as an individual or to the National Promoter’s Association on whole.
She further adds that the association is an imposter by identity, as according to her, there are no promoters in Uganda.
According to Kusasira, the country is infested with exploiters masquerading as promoters, just like a wolf would camouflage in sheep skin.
Kusasira further adds that the only genuine promoters in the country are Katende Ssempebwa, the proprietor of Ebonies group and Jeff Kiwa, the gaffer at Team No Sleep (TNS).
According to Kusasira, Katende is the kind of promoter that push a talent to stardom from scratch.
She also hailed Jeff Kiwa for having the will to invest money the equivalent of a mansion in an artiste.
She further added that it is unjust for Bobi Wine to be allocated only Shs20 million, as it is not enough.
According to Kusasira, the minimum amount of money that should be paid to artistes is $10,000.
Kusasira further added that she has never sang anywhere for less than a million.
She further added that promoters complaining about a low return on investment are not promoters but exploiters.
Kusasira is not the only artiste to make this complaint as artistes have expressed dissatisfaction over the price list that has since been published by their employers.
Kusasira further revealed that she used to perform for Bajjo, for free, but has since left the business of performing at shows, since they don’t have money.
