First Daughter Diana recruits UK-based influencers to spruce up Uganda’s image abroad

Diana during the dinner meeting, encouraged the team of Ugandan influencers based in the UK to network with influential members of the tourism sector of Uganda, in order to make an impactful change in boosting the sector.

Taking to social media, the First Daughter described the meeting as “amazing.”

“I was impressed with their love for our beautiful country Uganda 🇺🇬 and their commitment to using their platforms to help promote the country,” she posted.

The influencers are soon expected to travel to Uganda for a major homecoming event.

The meeting also saw the launch of the “62𝕾𝖎𝖓𝖈𝖊62” campaign ahead of this year’s Independence Day celebrations in October.

Diana, who herself is a big player in Uganda’s tourism industry listened to the concerns raised by the Ugandan diaspora community as well as their ideas on how to move forward.

Besides tourism, the meeting also discussed other fields that need support including the entertainment industry, food and hospitality industry, and healthcare industry among others.
