Lukoma, who was with Manuela Mulondo and Eleanor Nabwiso – spoke to the media during the latest edition of Blankets and Wine.
Mulondo and Lukoma said they are 18 years old, while Nabwiso said she is 20.
"She is two years older than us," Mulondo said.
Interviewer: Let me ask, you and Sheebah who is the older?
Lukoma: You are joking!
They both sang under Obsessions, but Lukoma was in the now-defunct singing group first.
"She joined late but we are in the same age bracket,” said Hellen Lukoma. Sheebah Karungi is 33.
Hellen Lukoma, who is also an actress -- started singing in school and church.
But professionally it was with Obsessions, which was founded by renowned producer and Fenon Records boss Steve Jeans.
At Obsessions, she sang, danced and acted.
She had joined while in S.6 vacation and left to pursue her university education where she did international business.
It was during her time at Obsessions that the song Jangu was released.
At some point during her break from music, she worked in sales at New Vision. This was while at university. Her internship was at a bank.
She then realised the corporate world was not for her and reunited with Brenda Nambi, formerly with her in Obsessions, to form HBO Toxic.
Ali Alibhai, the Talent Africa founder, supported them.
But concentrating on music became hard because Lukoma landed a gig as an actress in The Hostel, the TV series that aired on NTV and Brenda Nambi was seeing progress in the fashion world.
At some point, Lukoma also operated a fashion store in Mabirizi Complex and run a show called Genesis Fashion Show.
