Speaking to the media on Wednesday, August 14, Junior shared that President Yoweri Museveni had advised the family to consider flying Mirundi abroad for further treatment if they felt he wasn't receiving the best care locally.

"But I think we took long to make the decision," Junior admitted.

He reflected on his close relationship with his father, describing him as both a friend and a protector, despite their occasional disagreements. Junior noted that Mirundi had always pampered his children, defending them even into adulthood, and loved them more than anything in the world, treating them all equally.
