The National Water and Sewerage Corporation (NWSC) announced in a statement issued on Thursday, September 12, that water supply will be disrupted from 8am to 7pm due to a planned power shutdown.
“This is due to a planned power shutdown by the UMEME team, in a bid to improve power supply at the Ggaba Power Station,” the statement read.
The affected areas include Ggaba, Muyenga, Kampala CBD, and other surrounding neighborhoods. NWSC advised customers to store water and use it sparingly, as it will take time for the system to stabilize after the plant shutdown.
