Pratt said that Persons Living With Disability (PLWD) are faced with a myriad of challenges which included lack of access to key resources such as education, healthcare, among others.

The NFDK spoke during a function where her organisation donated cash and equipment to PLWD individuals and organisations in Nairobi.

Last year, the government allocated Sh200 million to NFDK which Pratt added was not enough to cater for the needs of 4 million PLWDs who live in extreme poverty.

President Kenyatta is the patron of the NFDK, which is legally mandated with utilization of income for the bene­fit of the disabled persons in Kenya.
