Ugandas Transport Licencing Board has suspended Gaaga Bus operations countrywide due to a poor road safety record.
The board has halted all operations of Gaaga Bus for 30 days.
The buses of this popular transport company, that reaches most parts of the country, have been involved in several accidents since the year started.
In May, 23 people died in an accident after Gaaga bus collided with a tractor before ramming into a stationary truck in Kiryandongo District.
The commissioner of Transport, Regulation and Safety said the company's buses which are in operation were inspected but "there is something deeper which should be investigated".
The recent road accidents have raised concern countrywide. Last month, President Museveni proposed the installation of digital speed meters in all public vehicles to reduce road carnage.
A UN report released early this year indicates that 10 people in Uganda die every day in road traffic crashes.
