Mo Farah, United Kingdoms most successful distance runner, thinks he could have won gold in the mens 5,000m and 10,000m; categories won by Ugandas 21-year-old Joshua Cheptegei at the Commonwealth games in Gold Coast, Australia.

The Somali-born Englishman told media ahead of London Marathon that "maybe" he could have done a double (5,000m and 10,000m) at the Commonwealth games and a "win would be amazing".

The 21-year-old Ugandan athlete bagged two gold medals at the Commonwealth games in the category of men's 5,000m and 10,000m -- setting a game's record in the latter category.

Sir. Farah, 34, made a surprise announcement of his retirement from international competition last year after winning the 3,000 meters at the Diamond League meet in Birmingham.

Mr. Cheptegei's spectacular performance at the Commonwealth games decorated him as the second Ugandan in history to complete a double -- and the third worldwide.

Uganda so far has three gold medals in the on going Commonwealth games in Australia; two from Cheptegei and one from Stella Chesang in women's 10,000m.
