Police in Ugandas capital, Kampala, have opened investigations against four people, including vocal opposition MP Betty Nambooze, over Ibrahim Abirigas death.
Abiriga together with his brother were assassinated on Friday last week by gunmen riding a motorcycle.
Nambooze is part of the investigation following last year's statements where she said it's easy to attack Abiriga even with bodyguards around -- she is being investigated for inciting violence, according to Uganda Radio Network.
The second file of investigation has been opened against Nasser Mugerwa whose viral audio clip claimed to be behind Abiriga's assassination -- he also alleged that several NRM MPs, including Evelyn Anite, Ruth Nankabirwa, Simeo Nsubuga and Raphael Magyezi, were next on the list.
In a twist of events, a Facebook user who back edited a Facebook post to a prediction of Abiriga's death, is among the people who will be invesitgated.
Another Ugandan popular Facebook user based in Sweden called Peng Peng has been added on the list for alleging that President Museveni and NRM are behind the assassination.
President Museveni on Friday after the unfortunate incident, tasked security agencies to start on the investigations and present a report.
The president, who described Abiriga's assassination as 'senseless killing', on Monday hinted on banning hoodies and tinted car windows as means to curb crime
