Muhammad Kiddawalime and Galiwango Musa escaped from court while appearing on several charges of murder, robbery and terrorism.

Last night, the duo tried to drill a hole into the house of one of the residents, Resty Nakyambadde, at around 3am – who later alarmed her neighbors for help.

"I was sleeping and heard people on my door, I raised an alarm which attracted my neighbors to come to my rescue," she said.

Police were alerted by the locals and arrived at the scene to arrest Muhammad Kiddawalime and his colleague– Kiddawalime was later killed by the mob when he tried to take one of the police officer’s gun.

The duo is part of the group of the machete wielding thugs that was terrorizing people in the areas of Greater Masaka since last year.

These together with other seven gang members killed seven people in Bukomansimbi, including a retired police officer on New Year’s Eve.
