Joan Naigaga reportedly burned the house in the middle of Monday night as her two children slumbered away.

The fire severely burned the angry wife and her two children were rushed to the Budumba Health Centre III where the woman was later pronounced dead as her children remain nursing burns.

Eyewitness told local media that Joan and her husband had a misunderstanding after they sold their goat -- it is believed that the husband used part of the money to pay for their children's school fees before drama ensued over accountability.

“On Good Friday, the couple sold their goat at Shs70, 000 and the husband used Shs50, 000 to pay school fees of their son Ofwono while the wife demanded for accountability of the remaining Shs20, 000 which the husband failed to account for,” eyewitness said.

Part of the money, according to the eyewitness, was supposed to buy meat for the family during Easter festivities but the husband didn't have it and a fight ensued which forced the husband to leave his home and go to his parent's home.

“The husband’s failure to return home must have angered the wife who decided to kill herself with her children,” eyewitness said.
