Police are concerned that people wearing camouflage uniforms or similar clothes are involved in criminality and the general public often think it's the security personnel.

Amooti Omubalanguzi in his reaction to camouflage uniform ban said musicians and comedians only wear these uniforms or similar clothes on stage and always seek permission -- he also urged government to intensify on investigating why musicians are being killed instead of wasting time running after people wearing camouflage uniforms.

"We only wear these uniforms on stage. Even the government said we request to use these camouflage uniforms. If the government becomes serious, it will dig up some musicians and comedian we buried in camouflage uniforms. Government should also intensify on investigating people who kill musicians," he said

People with camouflage uniforms or similar clothes have until end of this week to hand them over to nearby police stations.
