On July 5th, Isiko was sentenced to 2 years in prison by Buganda Road Court after pleading guilty to charges of cyber harassment and offensive communication.

The student's lawyers claim that the court blundered when it convicted their client based on partial admission and not the entire evidence.

Isiko's legal team also accuses the "magistrate of engaging in speculation, conjecture, malice and fear-mongering" for denying the 25-year-old student proper mitigation.

They want the conviction quashed or reduce the sentence and set aside "a small fine".

MP Slyvia Rwabwogo

The MP who was sexually harassed by the "love messages" from Brian Isiko spoke out last on July 8th after court served the sentence.

She said it wasn't just about love messages but "this boy was being used by some selfish individuals in a mission to lure me with love and kill me".

Rwabwogo revealed that she reported Isiko as a precautionary measure "to protect me, my family and constituents from horror".
