Ephraim Luyira burned his wife Betty Nyamiradayizima during a domestic brawl in Mukono District, Uganda.

A police report states that the man poured hot water on his wife's face accusing her of bewitching her two co-wives.

He claimed that his wife of making life hard every time he is with his other wives.

The 36-year-old man claims that the burned wife was causing misfortunes in his other homes.

Luyira was arrested by the locals following loud screams by his wife as he attempted to escape before police arrived. He is likely to be charged with grievous harm, according to a police statement.

The victim in nursing severe wounds at a hospital in Lugazi, is a town in the Buikwe District of the Central Region of Uganda.
