Police in Uganda capital, Kampala, have fired teargas to disperse demonstration where people are protesting against social media and mobile money tax.

Several protesters, including Kyadondo East MP Bobi Wine, NBS TV journalist Raymond Mujuni and singer A Pass among others, were briefly arrested.
The small group of protesters marched in the CBD against the UGX200 daily social media tax and 0.5% mobile money tax on all transactions, payments, transfers and withdraws.
Police have issued summons against the Kyadondo East Constituency for inciting violence and holding unlawful processions.

The legislator led a team of activists during a march in protest of the controversial social media and mobile money tax.
Bobi Wine was briefly arrested but managed to disappear unnoticeable.
Other protesters who are were arrested are currently detained at the Central Police Station (CPS).
