Media personality Ms. Justine Nameeres legal team is considering to sue NTV journalist and show host Faridah Nakazibwe over a "defamatory dossier" on social media.
The lawsuit is in response to a Facebook post in which Ms. Nakazibwe falsely accused her of opening 10 fake facebook accounts, threatening and tapping phone conversations.
Lawyers have conditioned the NTV journalist to pay UGX500m in damages for "psychological torment and injured reputation" -- also want a public apology on the same social media platform used.
They claim that the social media post "resulted into grave defamation and slander" and "traumatized her family, friends and in-laws".
The letter of intention to sue was served on April 12th; she has until today to fulfil the conditions set by Ms. Nameere's team or else be dragged to court.
Ms. Nameere on Monday took it to social media to showoff her husband who has seen her go "through all the attacks/ contempt / ridicule", adding that they are both waiting for the "Criminal and Civil Court to get to a logical conclusion".
