Two men accused of grabbing part of President Yoweri Museveni’s farmland in Kisozi, Gomba district, have sued the ranch manager for defamation.
The manager raised concern before the Land Commission of Inquiry claiming that Francis Ssebutama Kong and John Byamukama illegally obtained title deeds of the president’s 300-acre land.
She revealed to the commission that not only locals are affected by land grabbers but "Museveni is also affected by the group that forges land titles".
The accused are now suing the ranch manager and want the court to reward them with general damages.
"If someone is using her, she will tell that to court. I know nothing about the president's land,"Kamukama told NTV.
Museveni, through his farm manager, tasked the Land Commission to investigate how his land was "grabbed, titled and sold off without his knowledge".
