The flamboyant lawyer spoke on the matter after it emerged that officials in the National  Cereals and Produce Board (NCPB) colluded with traders who were paid to import maize instead of sourcing it from local farmers.

Kipkorir also shared pictures of his farm in Elgeyo Marakwet where his mother has been engaging in maize farmers.

The lawyer's mother is one of the many farmers in the Rift Valley and parts of Western region who have not been paid for their maize as a result of misappropriation in the NCPB scandal.

"If DPP, DCI & EACC will fail to arrest, charge, convict for theft & corruption & recover X3 from NCPB MD, Regional Managers & all beneficiaries money paid to maize imported from Uganda/Zambia/Malawi, I will advise my mum that we grow marijuana instead of maize/wheat on our farm," Kipkorir stated.

Agriculture CS Mwangi Kiunjuri has promised to "clean up the mess" and ensure those found culpable are punished.
