He said humanity should be uniting for important causes, say, fighting poverty, instead of wasting time on inconsequential issues.

"We are in a generation of attention seekers. People who want cheap popularity... There are also people who want to be relevant, so they do that by tarnishing someone's name and then they trend," the Sitya Loss hitmaker said in the video.

"But that's not the way to go. Never forget that divided we fall. This is a young industry where we need to unite and first fight the war against poverty," he added.

"People are poor. They need one another to make it somewhere. But instead of uniting to 'look for bread', they are fighting and sabotaging each other. That's the way of poverty. The way of poverty. You are poor, what are you fighting for?"

A celebrity of his status is always a target of criticism, and sometimes he has been seen unraveling when the content is scathing.

Eddy Kenzo has been in the music industry for 15 years, give or take. Last year he revealed that Bobi Wine's record label Firebase Crew played a role in his early years in the industry.

They met when Kenzo was performing at Wallet Pub, located in Kabuusu, Rubaga Division, Kampala and Wine was among the revelers.

Kenzo, who started singing around 2007, had just released a song titled Tuteese and Wine was impressed by his performance. He even collaborated with Wine's brother, Mikie, on a song.

Kenzo has risen in the industry to score many firsts, including becoming the first Ugandan to win a BET award and the first to scoop a Grammy nomination.
