The youthful senator had an early morning meeting with his father at his Senate office after which he shared photos of the visit.

“Today I had a special visitor in my office in the person of my Dad. We had an opportunity to pray for God’s grace and guidance in the difficult tasks ahead of us in our different careers. May God guide him in his pastoral duties. Amen,” Murkomen tweeted.

However, Kenyans were impressed by the youthful look spotted by the senator’s father.

The elder Murkomen, who is a pastor, has aged gracefully to the extent that some netizens observed that he looked younger than his son.

"Your Dad looks younger than you! Amazing," Kisame said in response to the senator's post.

"He is obviously and rightly a very proud father," city lawyer Ahmednasir Abdullahi tweeted.

Other commentators replied to the photo by condemning a past statement by Siaya Senator James Orengo that claimed that “Kipchumba’s father sired an idiot”.

Kipchumba, who is turning 40 this year, is one of the youngest political leaders in Kenya, having been elected to the senate at the age of 35 years.
