Judiciary spokesperson has clarified on the statement issued by Chief Justice (CJ) Bart Katureebe in response to President Musevenis unlawful directive.

In bold response, CJ Katureebe said "courts shall continue to be guided by the Constitution and the law on matters relating to bail".
Solomon Muyiita, the judiciary spokesperson, says there is no clash between the government and the judiciary.

He told NBS TV that CJ Katureebe "speaks to the president quite often and the line of communication happens all the time'"
Muyiita reiterated that courts of law haven't been challenged in handling murder cases but the president has always been talking about "the issue of bail" in meetings.
Museveni's remarks on denying suspects bail and bond raised dust within the law and human rights circles accusing him of abrogating the constitution.
