Local media says gunmen arrived at the complex by car, shooting their way past guards. They threw bombs at vehicles in the parking lot.

State House has warned members of the public to avoid sharing videos of the attack at Dusit Hotel carried out by notorious terror group.

The country's president Uhuru Kenyatta is yet to issue a formal response on the unfortunate incident.
