Uganda Airlines on Wednesday announced that it signed an agreement with Airbus top purchase 2 A330-800neo airplanes.
A330-800neo is the new version of their best selling A330 widebody airliner and commercially entered the market in 2017.
Ugandans are excited to see what the national airliner brings on board and we did an extra research to find out more about this airliner
Interior
A330-800neo has wide seats to give travellers a comfortable experience. The manufacturer says the cabins will "stimulate a unique and leading passenger experience".
The airliner has the latest LED technology ambient lighting -- and also “clean, straight lines and shapes, clear surfaces and unique customizable welcome area”.
Economy class cabin
A3300-800neo has standard seats in the economy class designed not to compromise on comfort.
Airbus says the seats have optimised foot and shoulder space to give a passenger enough foot space under the seat in front of them.
Business class cabin
Its Rolls-Royce engines provide quietness in the business class cabin to ensure a more comfortable environment for the passengers. It's also "more relaxing, inspiring, beautiful and functional”.
In-flight entertainment
Passengers will watch HD or 3D videos and programmes on larger screens. They will also be able to connect their devices to the system.
Storage bins & lavatories
A330-800neo has larger overhead storage bins and spacious lavatories compared to the existing airliners.
The large overhead storage bins will hold more hand luggage.
The lavatories have antibacterial surfaces and self flushing toilets, touchless taps, discreet aromas dispensers and ambient sounds.
