Inspector General of Police Okoth Ochola has warned musicians, event organisers and their security personnel against being troublesome during Easter holidays, two months after Mowzey Radios death.

Singer Mowzey Radio died in February after sustaining severe injuries following a brawl at a bar in Entebbe -- the man who allegedly hit him on the ground is under detention on murder charges.

IGP Ochola echoed his warning in his Easter message which was delivered by police spokesperson Emilian Kayima -- he warned musicians, event organisers and bouncers and urged them to act accordingly.

“We urge musicians to always show up whenever then are supposed to perform to avoid causing chaos. We have already held meetings with some musicians, event organisers and bouncers and we urge you to act in accordance with what we agreed upon during the meeting,” Ochola said.

Ochola, who was appointed early March to replace Kale Kayihura, also urged people to keep caution of their children and be mindful of their security amid increasing cases of kidnap.

“Make sure you brief the people you are leaving home and also caution children not to play with electric appliances and open wires. Parents make sure you monitor your children wherever you go and be mindful of your own security,” he said.
