The Uganda war museum will showcase some of the country's darkest historical moments as well as pre-colonial and colonial museum.

UTB's Executive Stephen Asiimwe told the BBC that "you cannot run away from history" which "gets richer like red wine".

The self declared King of Scotland seized power in 1971 and was overthrown in 1979.

During his tenure, he banned mini-skirts & hippies and expelled the entire Asian community in the country among other controversial things.

The museum will also document atrocities committed by Lord's Resistance Army (LRA) rebels.

Asiimwe believes that retracing the past will make the 'Pearl of Africa' a richer tourist destination, on top of its natural attractions.

Amin's regime has been portrayed in media and literature through film and television dramatisation; including movies like 'Raid on Entebbe', 'Mivtsa Yonatan', 'Rise and Fall of Idi Amin', 'Last King of Scotland', '7 Days in Entebbe' among others
