“I am not joining any label at the moment and will not start any of my own,” says Vivian Tendo
Vivian Tendo says for now, she just wants to be solo and push her career, as she looks for certified management that will take on her career.
Earlier on, her former manager, who is also an artiste, Yesse Oman Rafik, opened up about the rumours that she had left. Yesse, who is also a top songwriter, in a television interview said that he was not bothered by Vivian’s exit, adding that there is a variety of many talented acts in his Route Music record label.
“If one artiste leaves, another one can still come in. Route is a very big organisation with so many talents that we can bring on board,” he said.
He added that Vivian Tendo has always been free to leave because Route had not made any formal agreements with her.
“Our things were based on mutual understanding, the love of the music, and belief in her talent. But it’s not a crime for her to leave because life goes on.”
This news comes after Queen Karma, Sheebah Karungi, also quit her long-time camp, Team No Sleep, a label she had been under for over ten years.
Other musicians that have left their management include Brian Weiyz who left Andy Events and Nina Roz parted ways with Black Market Records.
