Kiraka Mugisha reportedly found his daughter Kemigisha, 16, having sex with her 18-year-old 'boyfriend' on his bed.

The couple was on Tuesday taken to Nsangi police station outside Uganda's capital, Kampala, to file for defilement since the girl was a minor.

Suicide by hanging

Kemigisha was found dead on Wednesday morning, hanging on a rope inside her father's bedroom where she had previously had sex from with her boyfriend.

Apparently, the father stayed at the shop the previous night and was in shock when he returned home to a hanging body.

Defilement

Authorities say preliminary medical results proved that Kemigisha was defiled.

Detectives have started investigating details surrounding the 16-year-old's suicide.
