Gen Kainerugaba calls Elwelu a 'fool,' vows to arrest him

The Chief of Defence Forces (CDF), Gen. Muhoozi Kainerugaba, has publicly criticised the former Deputy CDF, Lt. Gen. Peter Elwelu, referring to him as a "fool" and threatening to have him arrested.

"Elwelu is a buffoon! He is completely unworthy of our great Army! He better run as fast as his small legs can carry him," Gen. Kainerugaba, who also serves as the Senior Presidential Advisor on Special Operations, wrote on X on Thursday, 19 December.

In an earlier post, the CDF stated: "There is one FOOL that I will arrest soon. He is hiding behind my father, but I will capture him. He comes from Teso."

Lt. Gen. Elwelu is currently serving as a Special Presidential Advisor on the Teso and Karamoja sub-regions.
