Another tourist has died

A French tourist, Tutin Jean Piere, has died after tracking gorillas in Bwindi Impenetrable National Park in Ugandas western district of Kanungu District.

The 63-year-old died on Saturday after developing a strange illness, according to one of the three colleagues.
Area police spokesperson who confirmed the death says the body has been taken to the country's capital Kampala for postmortem.
Police in Kanungu have initiated investigations to find the possible cause of death.

Piere becomes yet another statistic bringing the number of foreigners who have died in the country to 8 since February.
Bwindi Impenetrable National Park protects an estimated 400 mountain gorillas, about half of the world’s population.
