Emergency Assistance to Mozambique in Response to the Cyclone Damage

1. Today, March 27, upon the request of the Government of the Republic of Mozambique, the Government of Japan decided to provide emergency relief goods through Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) to Mozambique in response to the damage caused by the recent cyclone.

2. Upon the request of the Government of Mozambique, and in light of humanitarian perspective and the close relations between Japan and Mozambique, Japan has decided to provide emergency assistance to Mozambique to meet its humanitarian needs.
