In a post he shared on his Instagram page, Mr. Onsarigo said that working for both NTV and KTN for the past eleven years was great, and it was time for him to move to something different.

He also added that he was not done with his signature programme ‘Case Files’ as he thanked his followers for the support they have accorded him this far.

“After six years at Ktn and five at Ntv, it is time to exit the stage. This has been a good run. On to the next big assignment! Catch me on Ktn this Monday at 7:30am. Lovers of Casefiles, we are not done yet!.... thank you for your support!. You are as good as your last story, start on a new one!!!! ,” read Dennis Onsarigo’s post.

His message came just days after he confirmed that he was leaving the Standard Group for a new challenge.

Dennis Onsarigo’s departure follows that of former NTV crimes and investigative journalist Steve Juma who left the news room to take up a job as communications director in Tana River County, while Onsarigo's former colleague at KTN Carol Nderi moved to Nyeri in a similar capacity.
