Chloride Exide offers free battery checks to Gayaza Road motorists
Motorists along Gayaza Road were today at Shell Kitetika for free car battery testing as Chloride Exide launched its two-day battery clinic.
The exercise, which started today, April 17 and runs until tomorrow, April 18, 2026. The company says the clinic aims to help drivers detect battery problems before breakdowns happen.
Drivers from Kyanja, Kisaasi, Kanyanya, Buwate, Nangabo Mwena, Mpererwe, Kitetika, Magere, Wampewo, Kasangati and Komamboga are among those targeted during the campaign.
The Chloride Exide team is offering complimentary automotive battery checks at Shell petrol station in Kitetika along Gayaza Road.
Company officials say many motorists ignore battery warning signs until vehicles fail to start.
They say the free testing exercise gives drivers a chance to assess battery condition and improve road reliability.
The clinic attracted motorists throughout the day, with technicians carrying out checks and advising drivers on battery performance and maintenance.
Chloride Exide says the campaign forms part of efforts to bring vehicle support services closer to customers in Kampala suburbs and surrounding areas.
The company urges motorists to take advantage of the remaining hours of the exercise instead of waiting for emergency breakdowns.
