Bobi Wine issues important address on social media and mobile money taxes

Musician-cum-politician Robert Kyagulanyi well known as Bobi Wine has issued a candid address amid protests of the controversial taxes on social media and mobile money.

The Kyadondo East MP led a group of demonstrators to protest peacefully against these taxes which have caused a public outcry since they came into effect on July 1st.
Bobi Wine has shared a candid address urging Ugandans to "fight for ourselves and realise we are on our own".
In his address, he says "we are protesting against the taxes that continue to make Ugandans slaves in their own country, we protest because we have been turned into beasts of burden".

He adds that: "The citizens of this country pay within the noise but don't get the services their deserve. All our sweat and labour is abused".
