Police chief Okoth Ocholas latest reshuffle has affected 136 police officers, including top senior officials.

This was announced in a memo which was released on Friday.

The transfers affected departments are Counter Terrorism, Tourism, Interpol, Field Force Unit, IGP’s office and Logistics among.

Commissioner of police Fred Enanga has been transferred to Criminal Investigations Directorate headquarters in Kibuli as the personnel in charge of administration and training, Polly Namaye will now head the information and publications department of the the police force, Herman Owomugisha will now be the commandant of Very Important Persons Protection Unit.

Also, Frank Mwesigwa was dropped as Kampala Metropolitan Police Commander and assigned a new role as head of Tourism police

Latest reshuffle comes barely a month after IGP Okoth Ochola made his first major transfer of police officers where over 80 officers to different offices of duty, including those who had been appointed by former IGP Kale Kayihura.

Last month, a directive sent shockwaves after police directors were given month to streamline their departments to "fit strict policing standards" or be relieved of their duties.
