The woman was worried that the "hedgehog" did not eat the food given to him and did not move all night.
A woman, concerned about the condition of the "hedgehog" she had discovered on the side of the road the day before, came to the centre and asked for help.
She was concerned that the animal did not touch the food given to it and did not move throughout the night. However, as it turned out, the "hedgehog" was a hat pompom.
Janet Kotze, a veterinarian at the centre, shared this unusual story with the Independent. The woman who came to the center was concerned about the condition of the "cute hedgehog" she found the previous evening.
The woman was worried that the "hedgehog" did not eat the food given to him and did not move all night. After one look into the box in which the "patient" was brought, Kotze was able to finish her examination - it turned out that the "hedgehog" was a hat pompom.
The centre's employees praised the attitude of the woman who, despite the mistake, showed concern for the animal. In their social media post, they emphasised, "Kindness knows no limits... even if it's just for a furry friend!"
Veterinarians from the centre in Knutsford took the opportunity to remind people what to do when they encounter a hedgehog in need of help. "If you encounter a hedgehog during the day, it's a sign that something is wrong. Put it in a box with some source of heat and seek help from a nearby veterinarian," they recommend.
