Nabbosa, then a young minister at the Worship House in Nansana had built a strong bond with the man of God, featuring in most of his songs and scaling the ranks at his church.
Then out of the blue, the woman showed up at the church and quickly declared her love for Pastor Bugembe. She was all in, sending him romantic texts, emails and all.
With rumors moving both at the church and in the media that Nabbosa and the pastor were an item, the woman opened a full-out war on the Yansumulula singer.
“This particular woman was demon-possessed. She launched a war on me; she threatened to kill me and we even had to report her to the police,” Nabbosa told Ruth Kalibbala on Friday.
“While investigating her, we were told that she indeed has killed some people through witchcraft. I was scared to death! I couldn't see what I was getting killed for; Pastor Bugembe and I were not in love. I thought this was it for me. I started praying like I have never prayed before.”
Nabbosa says Police eventually arrested the woman, but then released her shortly after questioning her, and she was back at the church.
Meanwhile, the Oli Katonda singer says Bugembe stood firmly behind her. He gave her bodyguard to protect her at the church, and was even the one who filed the police case.
The woman eventually left the church after she was chased by residents from where she was residing.

How she met Bugembe
Nabbosa says she had long admired Bugembe from when she was in lower secondary school. She got to meet him once though her cousin brother at a music show.
When she joined Lubiri SS, she learnt that Bugembe, who was also in high school, used to come around to minister in a student’s fellowship at the school. So, she joined the fellowship.
He quickly noticed her talent and became close with her until he asked her to join his newly founded ministry and also feature on his first album “Njagala Kukumanya.”
Did they ever develop feelings for each other?
Nabbosa says never. The two had become too close and knew too much about each other that they realised they couldn’t be married. Besides, she says he was not the right age.
“I had always wanted someone older than me and he wasn't that old,” Nabbosa recounted.
“My thoughts were clear. We knew so much about each other, we knew the things that made us incompatible. So we let others talk but we knew that we were not meant to be together.”
Nabbosa eventually found the love of her life; a man from a different church. She introduced him to Pastor Bugembe and he bless their marriage.
