Fr Mudduse has been serving as a priest at Kiyinda Mityana and also as a liturgy professor at St. Paul's National Major Seminary Kinyamatsika, in Fort Portal.
The Catholic Church in Uganda is mourning the passing of Fr. Dr. Lawrence Yawe Mudduse who perished in a car accident last night.

The cleric was reportedly travelling back from Mityana where he was part of a commemorative celebration, heading back to Fort Portal.
His vehicle, a Suzuki registration number UAW 369C was completely mangled up according to pictures taken from the accident scene.
Police were yet to comment on the accident by Monday morning.
Many took to social media to mourn the cleric who has been in the priesthood for the past 23 years.
“Rip Fr Lawrence Yawe Mudduse our brother!!! It's hard to believe that you have gone!!,” posted one Teddy Namirembe.
“In all, he has served the Lord with zeal, selflessness and valour,” wrote one Joseph Ssendawula.
“He’s stood up to injustice, preached the gospel to the fullest and relished priesthood. May the Angels receive you! Rip Rev. Fr. Lawrence Yawe Mudduse.”
