Bobi Wine was hit with a projectile claimed to be a life round in Bulindo, in Kira.
His party claimed he was shot by a police officer.
It was not clear what kind of projectile hit him. Videos from the scene show police officers firing teargas and live rounds in an attempt to disperse Bobi Wine and his team.

At Nsambya Hospital, chaotic scenes ensued as medical workers rushed to wheel the opposition leader inside the hospital.
Blood could be seen oozing from his left leg.
Several party leaders including the Leader of Opposition in Parliament Joel Ssenyonyi were present at the hospital.
