He is been on media tours and it seems female media personalities enjoy grooving to the ballad, as seen from TikTok videos that have been making rounds on social media.
The other day he was filmed dancing to the groovy ballad with Sanyuka TV's Sandra Lian Lusiya.
On Thursday Sheila Saltofte, better known as Sheila Salta, joined him to dance to the jam while on his visit to the newly-launched NRG Radio.
Empele, whose audio was released on December 7, was produced by D’Mario and mastered Artin Pro. Panda and Dokta Brian came up with the lyrics.
The song’s name comes from a dance move that originated in Masaka district where Panda hails from, according to Panda.
Panda, who holds a Diploma in Mass Communication from Datamine Technical Business School, started his TV career with WBS TV in 2014 where he hosted a quiz show, before switching to NTV's T-nation in 2015.
In 2018, he ventured into music, releasing his first hit single Asht featuring The Ben and Beenie Gunter. He dropped another single featuring Mun G titled Kampala Takoma in 2019.
Despite releasing some well-received ballads, he has been criticized for taking the Mun G route of trend-jacking, that is, relying on trending topics to come up with song titles but when the lyrics lack depth.
Some of his popular songs include Ki Uganda Kinyuma, Kyoyina Omanya, Bino, Balumye, Tubinyumisa, Tuli Mu Struggle, and Monica.
Away from singing and TV hosting, Panda also hosts events targeting high school students. The Panda TurnUp event is held during holidays.
Sheila Salta, who was born in 1992, according to publicly available information, started her media career while still a teenager with Teens Club on WBS TV. She relocated to Uganda from Denmark at the age of 10.
She has since worked with Urban TV, Magic 1HD and NBS, which she recently left to join NRG.
