The Ben, the man who never disappoints Ugandan female musicians

Rwanda singer The Ben has worked on some of his best projects in Kampala.

In 2017, The Ben, who is also a songwriter, teamed up with Sheebah Karungi to release Binkolera, a bouncy jam that was produced by Nessim.

The video, of the song, which now counts 2.5 million views on YouTube, was directed by Justin Campos, who is also a music producer based in South Africa.

Campos is one of the most expensive video directors on the continent and he is also behind the visuals of Diamond Platinumz's song African Beauty.

The song, on which Platinumz features Omarion -- has over 76 million views on YouTube, putting it among his top six most-watched videos on the video-sharing platform. His baby mama Zari Hassan played a part in directing the video of the song which is on 'The Boy From Tandale' album.

Campos is the director behind the beautiful visuals in Kanyomozi's popular songs Right Here and I’m' Still Here. The songs have a combined 3.4 million views on YouTube.

Kanyomozi recently said that they are the most expensive videos she has ever paid for. They were shot in South Africa.

The Ben, real name Benjamin Mugisha, also collaborated with Rema Namakula on This is Love and it's her second most-watched video on YouTube.

The song, whose video was directed by Hanscana, has racked up 6.6 million since its release two years ago.

Hanscana, real name Kenned David Sanga, has directed some of the biggest music projects in the region working with artistes like Diamond Platinumz, Zuchu and Harmonize. He is the director behind Kwangwaru, a collabo between Platinumz and Harmonize; and Zuchu's single Sukari.

Meanwhile, The Ben has not only worked with Ugandan female musicians. He has a collabo with B2C, alias Kampala Boys, titled No You No Life.
