Following her return from Canada recently, Keko has been in the media, bemoaning her lost friendship with the now music juggernaut and Karma Music boss.

In an interview this week, Keko revealed that Sheebah was told by her manager Jeff Kiwa at the time to drop any ties she had with (Keko) if she wanted to continue working with him.

We used to be very close with Sheebah, but right now I don't even have her phone number anymore,” said the talented rapper.

“When she got new management, Jeff Kiwa told her to choose between him and me and she went with him, which turned out to be a good decision for her I think… I don't blame her.

Keko however, would not reveal why Kiwa was keen on driving a wedge between her and her best friend.

Asked if she perhaps was considered a bad influence for Sheebah, she responded, “Absolutely not! He had his reasons. I was hurt but there was nothing to do.

Sheebah in 2021 eventually fell out with Jeff Kiwa who hitherto was considered by many to have propelled her music career to the very top.

But even now without Kiwa standing between them, Keko says it is still unlikely that she will ever be on the best of terms with Sheebah.

We can maybe meet up for a coffee if she wants, but I am not sure that we’ll ever be where we used to be,” she said.

Keko is back in the studio and hopes to start releasing new music soon
