Bush Baby had conceived the idea of the show, having hosted a similar one on East African Television, or EATV.

Speaking to Vybe Life recently, the celebrated deejay and media personality shared some interesting snippets as shared below:

According to him, they did about nine demos before launching, and the ninth or so was used for the pilot episode.
When the first episode aired, Robert Kabushenga, who was then the Vision Group Chief Executive, called asking about who Luswata was and what she did. His instincts would later tell him someone had called Kabushenga about the show.
Some of the biggest stories they did include accusing Jackie Chandiru of aborting and she threatened to sue. They would later use the intention-to-sue letter on air and ask her to prove them wrong.
Luswata started being threatened and they gave her a company car and counter-terrorism bodyguards to move her to and from work.
The show became popular and some celebrities started yearning for mentions and appearances.
Bush Baby said the biggest regret he has is not preparing her for the price one pays to become famous. "I didn't train her mentally... because it's very lonely at the top."
He said at some point she mentally withdrew, resigned, and left for the U.K. [Luswata quit in 2016 for the U.K. but returned to the station in 2018 to show a different show called Saloon Talk after Judithiana Namazzi left for Multichoice. She left again in 2020.]
He said he struggled to replace her until he found Tina Fierce but he also left shortly after hiring her. He believes because of lack of training she made mistakes that led to getting banned from the media.
