The two singers, who share two kids together, didn’t date until five years after meeting at university, Mbabazi said in an interview. Their kids are Asante and Izuba.

Mowzey Radio, who died in 2018, was very influential in Lilian Mbabazi’s music journey. Some of her popular songs like 'I'm in Love', 'Vitamin' and 'Wiggle Wiggle’ – were written by Radio.

However, Mbabazi joined the music industry before her late baby daddy. By the time they met at university, she was already a singer.

She went to Buganda Road Primary School, and after P.7, she went to Kigali and studied there two years, living with her mother.

Mbabazi started singing at a young age and her mom returned her to Uganda after she escaped and sang at an event that would be shown on TV.

On returning to Kampala, she went to St. Peters S.S.S. Nsambya and completed O-Level from St. Lawrence and joined Kabojja International School for A-Level.
